Registered Veterinary Technician

As you can see, Guelph Lake Veterinary Hospital is a modern general practice for cats and dogs located on the east side of beautiful Guelph, Ontario. We are excited to announce an opening for a motivated RVT.

We want to help you to make sure you are the right RVT for us. To be considered, applicants must be confident in their abilities to work with our patients in all aspects. Compassionate and professional patient care comes first. Technical skills related to sampling, anesthesia, and dentistry are of utmost importance, however calm, confident and reliable handling of animals (including cats) is considered a very valuable skill. As we are a small practice, this same individual will be responsible for marketing the practice through reception work and client interactions. They would get to know many clients by name, becoming a trusted team member whom clients appreciate working with.

In addition, all the other aspects of a running clinic will need completed such as cleaning, ordering supplies and record keeping. This individual would work directly with the veterinarian to complete medical and surgical cases. Our clinic is almost paperless, has in house lab, and uses Cornerstone software and digital x-ray allowing for efficient work flow.
